My Favorite Amazon Prime Day Gear Deals!
/I sifted through a mind bogglingly absurd amount of Amazon Prime deals to find a few pieces of gear that I recommend, own, and have made videos for. I'm not 100% sure how Prime Day works and which deals are available when, but there are some insane discounts to be had over the next two days!
HERE ARE MY SELECTIONS:
I made a review where I said this is pretty much the best all around mic arm I can find, and until I can somehow build my own ultra custom one from scratch, that still rings true.
This is my take-everywhere-do-everything camera! Video, photos, whatever– this camera handles whatever you can throw at it (but please don't throw things at cameras). Paired with the Tamron 20-40 lens, it's a pretty unstoppable setup. Here's my a7IV review.
This is started as my primary "B camera" lens, but has worked its way into an "A" lens because it's so dang sharp and works so well. I think it's the cheapest lens that Sony makes, but in terms of image quality it easily competes with my 24mm GM. It's compatible with every Sony E mount camera, so if you don't already have a 50mm prime lens, I highly recommend adding one to your kit!
If you know me, you know I love GoPros. They're super fun and really open up a ton of cool creative options for camera angles in videos. I've been using my GoPro constantly for Mic'd Up hockey videos, and now is a great time to grab one at a low price. Here's my review on the Hero 12.
This is the one thing on this list I don't personally own (although that might change after today...) but I can't recommend the ZV-E10 enough for anyone looking to jump into the world of mirrorless cameras. It's the least expensive camera I recommend and even the kit lens it comes with is surprisingly capable. You can pair it with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens for an absolutely awesome talking head/work from home setup!
The Stream Deck is such a fun and helpful thing to have, especially if you're in the Elgato ecosystem, and now they've released this Atomic Purple option that looks like an early 2000's Nintendo 64 and it's just awesome .
The original M1 Mac mini was a massive game change for me when it comes to video editing, streaming, and video calls. It's always great to upgrade a computer to be as powerful as possible, but in this case even the absolute base model is surprisingly capable (here's my long term review on the M1, and this M2 is even more powerful). It's also a great computer for running Ecamm Live if you want to seriously level up your streaming capabilities.
As always, if you don't really need something, please don't buy it– but if you do need anything I've shared, hopefully this Buck can help you save a few bucks. I've also got a dedicated gear page on my website if you're interested in checking out any of the other tools I use to make my videos and stuff. 👍
