This is a selection of materials from my time as a high school Digital Media teacher that might be helpful to others. Feel free to use them however you’d like (and, um, ignore the due dates that are on some of them…).

All the prompts are formatted either as PDFs or Pages documents. They’re also organized in my personal style, so you’ll probably need to recreate/repurpose them to suit your specific needs. Each folder also includes a generic rubric template that might be helpful.

I’ve also included courses outlines for the classes I developed as part of IMPACT Digital Media pathway, a 4 year sequence of Career Technical Education (CTE) courses. All courses are A-G approved by the UC system and meet the Visual and Performing Art graduation credit requirement.

Feel free to use them as a guide for creating your own!

Contemporary Media, 9th Grade
Introduction to Digital Media Production, 10th Grade
Intermediate Digital Media Production, 11th Grade
Advanced Digital Media Production, 12th Grade
This is how the courses are organized

Design Projects

These are some simple design projects, mostly centered around Adobe software, but could be modified to work with similar programs.

Intro Media Projects

These are some introductory level media projects that I assigned to my 9th and 10th grade students.

Advanced Media Projects

These media projects require a bit more skill/maturity and would typically be assigned to my 11th and 12th grade students.
